A house is shaped over time

Not only by the garments it creates, but by the people who work within it, the customers who return to it, and the values that quietly pass from one generation to the next.
At Christakis, we have never believed that tradition means standing still. We believe it should be carried forward—with respect for where it comes from, and the curiosity to keep learning, refining and evolving.

Our Origins

Before our workshop found its home in Athens, its roots lay in Constantinople, where Greek and French shirtmaking traditions came together, shaping the craftsmanship that continues to define our house today.
When Christakis established the house in Athens, he carried those principles with him. Since then, each generation has added its own experience while remaining faithful to the values passed down before it.
We believe every generation has a responsibility not only to preserve what it inherits, but to question it, refine it and pass it on.

Shared Craft

Every house is shaped by the people within it.
We believe that no craft evolves in isolation. Craftsmanship grows through shared knowledge, openness and the willingness to keep learning. It is shaped by fellow craftspeople, by trusted suppliers, by conversations with customers and by the people who work beside us every day.
Every conversation, every collaboration and every shirt becomes part of the story we continue to write together.

A Living Tradition

Tradition is not preserved by standing still. It remains alive through observation, experimentation and the quiet pursuit of refinement.
Every fabric we choose, every pattern we refine and every detail we reconsider is part of an ongoing process of learning. Sometimes the smallest adjustment is enough to make a garment feel more natural, more comfortable or simply more enjoyable to wear.
We do not seek change for its own sake. We seek to understand our craft a little better with every garment we make, believing that the greatest respect we can show to tradition is to carry it forward.
