This document sets out the terms and conditions governing the use of this website https://www.christakisathens.com/ and the purchase of items through this website (hereinafter, the “Terms”), which is operated by the undertaking under the trade name “Christakis”, having its registered seat in Athens, 5 Kriezotou Str.

Please read the Terms carefully before you start using this website. Use of this website requires and implies the undoubted acceptance of the Terms. If you do not agree with any of the Terms, you must avoid using and browsing this website.

The Terms may be amended from time to time and the updated document will be available on this website. It is your responsibility to consult them regularly.

The Terms are governed by Greek law and, in particular, by the provisions on consumer protection, e-commerce, personal data protection and intellectual property, as in force from time to time.

Use of our website

All users undertake to use this website lawfully, in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. Indicatively, you undertake:

• Not to make any false or fraudulent orders.
• Not to publish, email or otherwise transmit any content that is unlawful or infringes third-party rights, including personal data and intellectual property rights.
• Not to mislead any third party as to the origin of the content of this website and not to harm our reputation or the reputation of third parties.
• Not to compromise the security of this website or prevent other users from accessing it.
• Not to upload/transfer any material containing viruses, malware or any files/programs designed to interrupt, damage or destroy software or hardware.
• Not to intentionally provide inaccurate contact or other details.

When placing an order, you state that you are over the age of 14 and legally eligible to enter into contracts.

In any unlawful use or breach of these Terms, you must indemnify us for any direct or indirect damage caused.

Placement of an order

To place an order, follow the steps of the online purchasing procedure. After completing the process, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order.

Placement of an order does not result in a sale contract until your order is expressly accepted by us. Upon acceptance, you will receive an approval email including order details and shipment information.

Availability of products

All orders are subject to availability. If supply issues arise or items are out of stock, we reserve the right to inform you about substitute products of the same or similar quality and value. If you do not wish to order substitutes, we will reimburse any amount paid for non-available products.

Rejection of an order

While we make every effort to process all orders, exceptional circumstances may require us to reject an order. If your account has been charged, you will be reimbursed in full. Other than such reimbursement, no liability is created towards you or any third party in relation to rejection of an order.

Delivery

Subject to product availability and except in extraordinary circumstances, we will endeavour to deliver the products by the date indicated in the order approval email or, if no date is specified, within the estimated timeframe indicated when selecting the delivery method, and in any case within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of your order.

Delays may occur due to reasons such as customization, unforeseen circumstances, or delivery zones. If we cannot meet the timeframe, we will notify you and you may either continue with a new delivery date or cancel the order with a full refund.

Transfer of risk and ownership

Risk passes to you when you, or a third party indicated by you other than the carrier, acquires physical possession or control of the products.

You acquire ownership once we receive full payment of all amounts due, including delivery fees.

Price and payment

Product prices are as stated on the website, except in the case of an obvious error. If we discover an error in the price of a product you ordered, we will inform you and give you the option to confirm at the correct price or cancel. If we cannot contact you, the order will be considered cancelled and all amounts paid will be reimbursed in full.

Website prices include VAT but exclude delivery fees, which are added to the total.

Return Policy

9.1 Right of withdrawal

If you are contracting as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase agreement within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, email us at info[at]christakisathens[dot]com with a clear statement of withdrawal. You may use the template in Appendix A (optional).

9.2 Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs, without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the date we are informed. Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method used for the initial transaction.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of return, whichever is earlier. You are only liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

9.3 Returns of defective products

If upon delivery the product is not as described, contact us immediately at +30 2103613030 or email info[at]christakisathens[dot]com including product details, proof of purchase and the detected issue.

Return the product to our store or send it by courier at our expense. We will examine the product and notify you by email within a reasonable period whether it can be refunded and/or replaced. In case of a refund, we will reimburse the full amount paid, including delivery costs, using the same payment method.

Use of content on this site

All content on this website (including text, design, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, downloads, interfaces, code and software, and their selection and arrangement) is owned by our store or its content providers and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may access/copy/download/print materials only for personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify or remove any proprietary notices.

Any other use (including modification, distribution, transmission, publication, uploading, licensing, reverse engineering, transfer or sale, creation of derivative works, or competitive use) is prohibited without prior written consent.

You may not use contact information displayed on this website for marketing or any purpose other than performance of the purchase agreement.

Intellectual property

All trademarks, service marks and trade names on this website are proprietary to our store. Any use of materials on this website requires prior written consent. No license is granted. The website and its content, selection and arrangement are protected under applicable copyright laws.

Events of force majeure

We are not liable for non-performance or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (Force Majeure), including strikes, civil unrest, war/terrorism, fire/explosion/storm/flood/earthquake, epidemic/pandemic, transport or telecom failures, and acts or restrictions of public authorities. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Use of this website and orders placed through it are governed by Greek law. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Greek courts. If you contract as a consumer, this does not affect your rights under applicable consumer law.
